KEHOE TESTING & ENGINEERING, INC. (KTE) specializes in direct push sampling for environmental & geotechnical projects. Throughout California, KTE operates 8 direct push rigs (5 truck mounted rigs, 1 track mounted rig, 2 limited access rigs) with capabilities to sample deeper than many conventional direct push rigs. Our limited access rigs are very portable for sampling inside buildings or tight access areas. We also operate two four-axle 30-ton CPT rigs, which are heavier than most other CPT rigs in the United States. We have been in business since 1998 and have worked on thousands of sites throughout California.
Our services include direct push continuous soil sampling (macrocore or dual tube system), discrete soil sampling (various intervals), groundwater sampling (aka hydropunch) & vapor sampling (aka soil gas), Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), shear wave measurements (CPT), small piezo well installation, hand augering.
KTE is a licensed drilling contractor (C-57 License #786163) and a certified small business enterprise with owners who are actively involved in the operation of the company. As a licensed Professional Engineer, Steve Kehoe has been performing direct push sampling & CPT for over 25 years. Steve oversees all project related matters (such as estimates, scheduling and planning). Our Senior Office Manager, Charlene Arthur, oversees project related matters involving contracts, insurance, licenses, permits, etc. Each field operator receives 40 hr hazardous waste training as well as extensive equipment & operation training.
